Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. The Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Courses have been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. These video-based, Instructor-led courses cover both single rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings.
The BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
The BLS Course DVDs are for use by Heart and Stroke Foundation BLS Instructors. Both the BLS Course and Renewal Course DVD allow BLS Instructors to choose between one of two tracks, in-facility or prehospital, in order to tailor the content to the specific student audience.
The BLS Course DVDs are designed to pair with the BLS Instructor Manual. They contain all of the associated video lessons and practice-while-watching content to support effective classroom delivery of BLS Courses.
The BLS DVD Combo includes:
- BLS Course DVD (RE3340E, includes DVD and lesson menu insert)
- BLS Renewal DVD (RE3341E, includes DVD and lesson menu insert)
